Dear Friends,

Thank you for coming to our concert of Reflection.  This concert was possible through the efforts of many who have contributed in a myriad of ways.  We especially want to thank Robert Giracello, the clergy and staff of the Church of the Resurrection for our warm welcome for this concert.  It has been special for us to perform in this beautiful sanctuary with such reverberant acoustics and the splendid Rodgers organ. Escondido Choral Arts continues to make music through the support of our board of directors and many donors.  We thank you all for your continued support, and we hope that you enjoyed the concert.

The Center Chorale

Music Bringing Us Together

The Center Chorale is an ensemble of choral singers, endorsed by the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, performing choral literature of past masterworks and Twentieth and Twenty-first Century compositions in a variety of styles. The ensemble partners with the Center Children's Chorus in promoting vocal music in our community. The Center Chorale is dedicated to excellence in performance and education and also to preserving the tradition of singing as an expression of art.

The Center Children's Chorus

Sing and Be Inspired

The Center Children’s and Youth Chorus, at the Center for the Arts, Escondido, provides opportunities to learn about music in a friendly and fun environment.  Musical literacy and participation in the art of choral singing with their peers, as well as in combination with the Center Chorale are goals of this children's chorus. We perform several times during our season in many different venues in our community including the beautiful California Center for the Arts concert hall and performance theatre.

From the Artistic Director-
Dr. Joe Stanford

Dedicating ourselves to music that is Art brings us together. Think about the analogy of standing before one of the European Cathedral stained glass windows. We look up at the beautiful colors that fall on us, we admire the craftsmanship, we acknowledge the message or subject of the work, and we are awestruck by its beauty and the inner peace that we experience. Music is like that—it doesn’t matter who we are or what we believe, but the Art itself brings us together and says more than the human word can express or dogma can define. A favorite quote of mine is by T.S. Eliot: "Music heard so deeply that it is not heard at all, but you are the music while the music lasts".
