Music Bringing Us Together

The Center Chorale is an ensemble of choral singers, endorsed by the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, performing choral literature of past masterworks and Twentieth and Twenty-first Century compositions in a variety of styles. The ensemble partners with the Center Children's Chorus in promoting vocal music in our community.  The Center Chorale is dedicated to excellence in performance and education and also to

preserving the tradition of singing as an expression of art.

Sing and Be Inspired

The Center Children’s and Youth Chorus, at the Center for the Arts, Escondido, provides opportunities to learn about music in a friendly and fun environment.  Musical literacy and participation in the art of choral singing with their peers, as well as in combination with the Center Chorale are goals of this children's chorus. We perform several times during our season in many different venues in our community including the beautiful California Center for the Arts concert hall and performance theatre.

Dear Friends of Choral Music,

This season promises to be a great testament to the power of the vocal instrument. We will continue our long-standing practice of presenting choral works in traditional settings. In addition, we will be expanding our collaboration efforts and exploring the rich potential of choral enhancement across the performing arts.

The Center Chorale will be joining the City Ballet Orchestra and dancers for the traditional holiday classic Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and Geoffrey Gonzales’ original staging of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, which presents a story as powerful as the music. Our fall program explores the tradition and craft of musical composition with the epitome of classical style expressed in Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and the emerging post neo-classical style of John Nettles, resident composer for City Ballet of San Diego.

We will also be expanding our outreach endeavors through recruitment of young aspiring choral artists and The Center Children’s Chorus,  ensuring the growth of our current ensemble and the continuation of the art in the future.  Music feeds the soul!

Your contribution helps sustain the Escondido Choral Arts program in fulfilling our mission to enrich lives through the art of choral singing and providing musical opportunities in the community. Sponsoring a concert, contributing to the organization, or becoming a sustaining member are all very much appreciated.

We hope you will join us for all our events for the 2023-2024 Choral Season.
